How it works

How much time will I have in my home each year?

Per 1/8th share, you get an allowance of 44 nights each year in your home. Therefore, the number of shares you own will determines your allowance to access your home.

How does the booking calendar work?

Owners can access the calendar app which shows real-time availability over the next two years, the types of reservations you’ll be able to make are General Reservations and Last Minute stays.

General Reservations that are booked 8 days to 24 months in advance.

Last Minute stays are booked 2 to 7 days in advance of arrival.

How many General Reservations can I schedule?

Per 1/8 share owned, owners may hold up to 6 General Reservations at a time.

Reservations are future bookings, and must be for a minimum of two nights. A reservation of 2 to 7 nights counts as one General Reservation, while a reservation lasting 8 to 14 nights counts as two General Reservations.

Once a reservation has been completed, owners can make a new reservation as long as they stay within the 6 reservation limit.

How do Last Minute Stays work?

Starting seven days prior to arrival, open nights can be booked in the calendar by any owner. These are called Last Minute Stays.

Last Minute Stays do not count toward the owner’s General Reservation allowance (6 General Reservations per share).

They do, however, contribute to your total annual nights allowance.

How many nights can I book in a row?

The maximum length of a reservation is based on shares owned and the season of the booking.

High season, owners of 1 share can make reservations up to 2 weeks (14 nights). Owners of 2 shares can make reservations up to 4 weeks (28 nights).

Mid season, owners of 1 share can make reservations up to 3 weeks (21 nights), and counts as 3 General Reservations. Owners of 2 shares can make reservations up to 6 weeks (42 nights) and counts as 6 General Reservations.

Low seasons, owners of 1 share can make reservations up to 4 weeks (28 nights), and counts as 4 General Reservations. Owners of 2 shares can make reservations up to 8 weeks (56 nights) and counts as 8 General Reservations.

How do the seasons work?

Each calendar year is split into 3 seasons: Low, Mid and High.  

Low season     15th of January to 15th of March
Mid season      16th of March to 14th of June
High season    15th of June to 15th of September
Mid season      16th of September to 31st of October
Low season     1st of November to 15th of December
High season    16th of December to 14th of January

Can I book back-t0-back stays?

No. An owner’s arrival date must be at least seven days from the prior departure, or the number of nights from your last stay (whichever is higher). This policy is made to ensure equal access to the home for all owners.

What is a Special Dates?

Christmas Day (December 25th), New Year's Day, Easter Monday, and Thanksgiving are all Special Dates. Stays for Special Dates must be for a minimum of 4 nights. You may only reserve 1 Special Date reservation at any point in time.

How far ahead can I reserve a stay?

Owners can reserve a stay at their home from 2 days to 24 months in advance of arrival.

For example, if today is March 21, 2021, you make reservations from March 23, 2021, up to and including March 30, 2023.

What if I need to cancel a stay that I've reserved?

Owners can cancel with no penalty 60 or more days before arrival. Cancellations made 59 or fewer days before arrival will trigger a notification to other owners, alerting them of the newly available dates. If the dates are reserved by another owner, there is no penalty for the canceling owner. If the dates are not reserved, the dates count toward the cancelling owner’s annual night allowance for the year.

What time can I arrive and leave my home?

The standard arrival and departure time is 12pm, but owners can request earlier or later arrivals and departures times. Every effort will be made to accommodate your requests if the calendar and cleaning schedules allow. Where possible, you will be notified 48 hours prior to your arrival and/or departure date.
